John was a very much loved and regarded person that I had the honour to have known as a friend from his college days in HTC. We had some mega laughs. Alas we lost contact over the years apart from Christmas cards. What a major loss to all those he touched through his sadly truncated life. Love to the Lesley and the wider family.
